Dane in Training: A little background: I originally came to Denmark as a one year exchange student, studying political science at Aarhus University. I came to Denmark knowing very little about this beautiful Scandinavian country. That was the first time I had ever lived outside the United States and I was immediately confronted by my native culture, while learning all about Danish culture. Six months into my year-long stay in Denmark, I randomly met my wonderful Danish husband at a local cafe. My husband Rune and I fell madly in love, and my life forever changed after that! 💕 Due to visas and school, Rune and I had a long distance relationship for one year as I prepared to move my entire life to Denmark permanently. Currently: I am studying political science full-time and will be finished with my bachelors degree in December. 2019. Next, I plan to begin graduate school in Fall 2020 for political science and truly cannot wait. I now speak Danish and am finishing up the remainder of my language classes this year at Clavis. I also nanny part-time for international families in Aarhus.
