🇩🇰🇺🇸How did I end up an American expat in Denmark? Let me give a bit of background: from 2011-2012 I studied abroad from Montana (USA) in Aarhus, Denmark. I literally knew nothing about Denmark. I heard there was a great political science program here, so I jumped at the chance to study in Europe. Six months into my year abroad, I completely randomly met my husband Rune (he’s Danish!) Just after half a year of dating, it was time for my to go back to the states. We then did one year long distance, with an 8 hour time difference. We made it 11 months, then couldn’t take it one second longer. I packed my life in two suitcases and made the leap. We got married shortly after and I have now lived in Aarhus, Denmark for the past six years!
