✨Rolling with the punches is something I only learned when I became an expat. **Quick Story**
Originally Rune and I booked a trip to Sicily, Italy for our honeymoon. However, because I had just applied for a marriage visa I was under something called a processional visa. I therefore wasn’t allowed to work, go to school, volunteer OR leave denmark during the entire time my visa was being processed. It ended up taking ten months! The danish government does this to discourage people from immigrating here. So two days before our honeymoon we had to regroup. Leaving the country was no longer an option. We then went on our honeymoon on the danish island of Bornholm. It ended up being exactly what we wanted. But! This was a big turning point for me as an expat.
