I took this photo last weekend after our last evening together at the yearly family reunion in Southern Denmark. This was my sixth year at the reunion and was by far the best. I used to be nervous about this event each year because it’s literally a marathon for speaking Danish the entire four days. Frankly, It can be exhausting. This year was different ❤️ I am at the best place I’ve been with speaking Danish. I completely understand the Danish sense of humor (finally) and can crack jokes. Also, I was able to speak so freely and more deeply to members of the family who aren’t comfortable with English at all. I’m feeling quite integrated these days! 🇩🇰🇺🇸 http://bit.ly/2InwLVk
